DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF JAMES
Dear family and friends of James,
Several of you asked if there would be a memorial fund you might contribute to. Grace and I worked with the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) to establish a new aviation educational scholarship in memory of James, honoring his passion for aviation and his commitment to helping others. Please consider making a donation to help James’s legacy of giving back and paying forward to live on into the future.

- You’ll need to create an NBAA account in order to make a donation. The donation page will direct you there when you select the DONATE button.
- When you get the receipt, it will not include the tax deductibility statement which appears on the donation page: “NBAA Charities is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation as described in section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. In accordance with IRS regulations, no goods or services were provided to the donor as part of this contribution.” You might want to print this donation page for your records.
- NBAA Charities is not equipped to accept donated stock, and is not accustomed to getting gifts from charitable giving funds. If you designate a gift from your charitable giving account to NBAA Charities (Tax ID 52-1900336) “for the James Sullivan Aviation Scholarship,” I assume they’ll figure it out.
- If you’re having any trouble making a donation, please send an email to scholarships@nbaa.org, or call NBAA at 202-783-9000, and explain the problem you’re having. They’ve resolved problems for several of us with our donations to this new scholarship fund.
