James Sullivan

Acts of Kindness

Acts of kindness was a core tenant of who James was,  and something he would really have liked others to carry forward.

His purpose on earth was to touch people and leave them better for having been touched.

While out in my yard weeding the other day, a small plane flew just overhead. I looked up and just smiled and waved! It felt good. 😊💖

Sydney and I were enjoying happy hour at Streetcar today, and a kind woman came up and insisted we take a $25 gift card from her. She was a teacher (Catherine). We happily accepted. This was an act of kindness done for us, and I thought it was pretty cool it was at the place we celebrated James life in Nashville. Thought I should share. 🙂

As I try to live my days with the kindness James asked of me, I’m rewarded most days with gifts from nature that I take as signs of him saying “hello”.

This morning it was a hummingbird at my flower less window, and this evening, the cries from a seagull took me outside to see a bald eagle perched in the pine tree behind our home. ♥️

I did my first (of many) acts of kindness today on the streets of Brookline. I shared that I was doing it in James honor. That felt nice ♥️
A few hours later, a banner towing plane circled the skies outside of our building for about 20 minutes. I’ve never seen that in the city. I’m pretty sure it was James saying hello. ✈️
